Spring has Sprung in Cavendish

As I glanced out of the window into the garden this morning, a dash of blue caught my eye in one of the flowerbeds, it would appear that some of the bulbs we bought from B&Q have pushed their way through the soil and are now happily in full bloom.

This Iris 'Harmony' (Reticulata) is absolutely stunning with its royal blue flowers, striped white throat and bright yellow central band on the falls. The crests have a slightly feathered edge, creating a softly-ruffled effect.

Spring has arrived early and I can't wait to see the other bulbs gradually appear.
